The event be held in tournament like conditions in accordance with the Tennis Australia’s player Code of Behaviour and Rules for Non-Umpired Matches.
Surfaces: Artificial Grass, Artificial Clay & Hard Court.
Player Entry: Players enter each individual tournament at tournaments.tennis.com.au. Entries will be capped at 48 players on weekends and 32 players for the mid-week events. All seven entry links can be found at scgs.qld.edu.au/tennis/gt-match-play-series
Entry Fees: $35 weekend events & $50 mid-week
Entries will close midnight three days before the event. Tiers, draws and times will be published by 8pm two days before the event.
Players will be initially grouped into tiers of eight players according to playing level. Results from Grammar Tennis Match Play Series events will then be used to inform tiers at subsequent events creating a promotion and relegation system.
Players will be given approximately a four hour timeslot for singles days and a five hour timeslot for the doubles day to play their matches which they must remain onsite. Typically this will be a morning or afternoon timeslot with matches starting at 8am. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, no parents will be allowed onsite during the event. Parents may stay in their cars in the car park.
The bottom tier of each event will be green ball.
