Sunshine Coast Grammar School is excited to welcome Amanda Kuchel to our community as our new Psychologist.
Amanda is a registered psychologist and board-approved supervisor and has a background in private practice and working within the education department, providing individual and group therapy, and completing education assessments.
Amanda is looking forward to becoming part of our community and increasing the well-being of students at Grammar.
“All emotions are natural and have a purpose, so I believe school is the perfect opportunity to provide education and strategies for managing them,” said Amanda.
Originally from South Australia, Amanda completed her Masters at the University of Sunshine Coast and relocated to the Sunshine Coast in January this year.
With over five years of experience as a psychologist, Amanda supports young people with anxiety, low mood, low self-esteem, low body image, perfectionistic traits, experiences of trauma, social difficulties, learning difficulties and more. Where possible, Amanda works with families and the school to encourage the best outcome.
Outside of work, you will find Amanda immersed in nature, whether it be walking her labradoodle, Archie along the beach, hiking up mountains or checking out the many local camping spots.
Amanda is a wonderful addition to our Psychology Team and we are excited to welcome her to the Sunshine Coast Grammar School community.
