Inaugural Italy Tour

Our inaugural Italy Tour for 20 enthusiastic History and Geography students from Years 10–12 promises to be an unforgettable two-week journey. During the Term 1 holiday break, students will visit some of Italy’s most iconic cities and regions, including Milan, Venice, Florence, Rome and the Amalfi Coast. Each destination offers opportunities to delve into Italy’s rich cultural heritage and diverse landscapes, providing students with an immersive and transformative educational experience.

This tour is designed to align closely with the Geography and Humanities curriculum, offering students the chance to witness historical sites and themes they have studied in the classroom. From exploring the Colosseum and Pompeii to admiring Florence’s Duomo and Venice’s canals, students will gain an understanding of the evolution and impact of Italian civilisation, from antiquity through the Renaissance and beyond. Through this immersive journey, students will deepen their understanding of global issues while fostering critical thinking about cultural diversity and global citizenship.

In addition to exploring historical landmarks, the tour immerses students in Italy’s vibrant cultural environment. By engaging with local communities and observing Italy’s unique approaches to managing natural resources, agriculture and climate change, students will gain valuable insights into global challenges.
