As part of our ongoing Future Tech Series, we had the privilege of welcoming two technology industry leaders to share their wisdom and insights and discuss emerging opportunities in the future technology space.
Featuring Owen Bowling, CEO at Coach Welly and Noah Wasmer CEO of ROEV, this free event was a unique and valuable opportunity for our students to explore the innovations that will shape our world.
Our guest speakers shared their personal journeys, challenges and triumphs, providing real-world examples of how to navigate the tech industry and showcased the importance of resilience, passion and perseverance.
With over 20 years of experience in the fitness industry, Owen Bowling spoke about Coach Welly, an AI-powered health platform enabling gyms, corporates and insurers to engage, support and reward their members and employees.
Former Head of Technical Teams, Atlassian now co-founder and CEO of ROEV, Noah Wasmer spoke about his passion for upcycling utes to electric with sophisticated software to manage its energy. Students saw a first-hand example with Noah’s upcycled VW Beetle, allowing them to gain a better understanding of the technology used at ROEV.
Throughout the evening, students had the chance to gain a deeper understanding of the possibilities and opportunities the technology field has to offer. Owen and Noah also spoke with our passionate robotics students about the robot they are designing for the upcoming First Tech Challenge competition. This was a fantastic opportunity for tech-savvy students to discuss their design with industry experts.
Thank you to Owen and Noah for connecting with our students and showing how creativity, perseverance and innovation can transform a passion into a profession and a mere idea into a global phenomenon.
