What’s not to love? Prep students at Sunshine Coast Grammar School had a ball today as part of the ANZ Hot Shot program that was rolled out for the first time at the school. Each prep student was presented with their very own brand new tennis racquet thanks to ANZ’s ongoing support of the Tennis Australia Hot Shot program and in particular the School Partnership program.
Since 2015, the partnership has ensured prep students across the country are exposed to tennis as part of their school sporting program and has provided over 110,000 racquets to new school starters with a further 30,000 to be delivered this term.
Head of Tennis at Sunshine Coast Grammar School, Mr Clint Fyfe hopes that these racquets not only encourage more students to take an interest in tennis but also provides them with a healthy start in school sporting programs by getting them moving.
“It is important when introducing different sporting programs to children of this age group to encourage them to get involved, have fun and provide them with opportunities to be active in the community,” said Mr Fyfe.
Tennis Australia is particularly proud of their partnership with ANZ and grateful for their ongoing support of tennis to grow the game at all levels.
