An incredible opportunity awaits our rugby and netball teams as they embark on an inspiring three-week tour across the UK. This exciting opportunity brings together over 60 students from Year 9 to 12, supported by eight staff members, with the group venturing overseas to challenge themselves, forge international connections and represent our school with pride.
The tour schedule features a series of matches against prestigious schools such as Strathallan School, Trent College, Bromsgrove School, Millfield School, Clifton College and Mill Hill School. The netball teams will compete in eight matches, while the rugby team will play seven, offering the students invaluable exposure to international competition.
The chance to test their skills on the international stage and create lasting memories with teammates has generated much excitement and enthusiasm among students. Beyond the sporting fixtures, this tour provides a platform for personal and team growth, with students developing lifelong skills such as adaptability, teamwork and resilience while fostering camaraderie within their teams and connecting with their overseas hosts.
In addition to the rugby and netball matches, students will immerse themselves in rich cultural experiences and explore iconic destinations including London, Edinburgh and Paris, a fitting end to an extraordinary journey.
This tour reflects Sunshine Coast Grammar School’s commitment to nurturing well-rounded students through opportunities that extend beyond the classroom.
We wish our students and staff all the best on this incredible journey. As they represent our school abroad, we are confident they will return not only as stronger athletes but as more confident, resilient and globally minded young leaders.
