Sunshine Coast Grammar School’s Year 12 students will once again take the opportunity to head out into the community tomorrow Saturday, May 11 to give back and lend a helping hand as part of the Grammar Helping Hands Blitz Program.
The team of Grammar students will be heading to Metropolitan Caloundra Surf Lifesaving Club where they will be involved in painting and cleaning projects for the junior and senior lifesaving programs at their Kings Beach Club.
Coordinator of Community Services at Sunshine Coast Grammar School, Mr Ben Princehorn says that the tradition of the Year 12s taking on their own blitz and coming together as a cohort in support of their local community has been happening here for almost seven years.
“It is a truly memorable moment for the students in their final year to be able to band together alongside one another in the spirit of community and true comradery to do something worthy, while leaving a lasting impression,” said Mr Princehorn.
The blitz will see students leading a hand to paint, clean and clear away any unwanted items from the Surf Club from 2-5pm at Metropolitan Caloundra Surf Lifesaving Club at 1 Spender Lane Kings Beach.
